Baby Shower Gift - Make a Baby Frame

Make a custom baby frame as a shower gift with Glue Dots.

Supplies

  • Frames of your choice
  • White spray paint
  • 1" Glue Lines
  • Pop Up Glue Dots
  • Depot Park patterned paper (October Afternoon)
  • Paper Girl patterned paper (The Girls Paperie)
  • Die Cuts (The Girls Paperie)
  • Black Soot Ink (Tim Holtz)
  • Butterflies (Prima)
  • Xacto Knife
  • Micron Pen
  • Extra flowers, chipboard

Instructions

  1. Spray paint the frames with white paint (just enough to distress the edges).
  2. Line the edges of the frames with 1" Glue Lines and layer the patterned papers on top.
  3. Use an xacto knife to cut out the center portion and set it aside.
  4. Distress all the edges, using the black ink, and then use a Micron pen to draw lines around the edges.
  5. Next, ink all the edges of the die cuts.
  6. Using Pop Up Glue Dots, attach the die cuts and Prima butterflies to the frames.
  7. I finished this off by adding some flowers and chipboard.
  8. I took the extra "center" peices of the patterned paper and used them to go in the center.  Later photos can be cut and layered on top.

This will be a baby shower gift for my daughter so that she can put photos of her new daughter in them and hang in the nursery.
