Valentine's Day Altered Canvas

Create a heart-felt canvas masterpiece using Glue Dots!

Supplies

• XL Glue Dots
• XXL Glue Dots
• Mini Glue Dots
• 1" Glue Lines
• Canvas
• Burlap
• Cardstock and pattern paper
• Alpha stickers
• Scissors
• Button, thread and needle
• Pearl embellishment
• Ink

Instructions

1. Lightly ink edges of canvas
2. Trace a heart onto cardstock and cut out
3. Adhere the cardstock heart to the canvas using 1" Glue Lines
4. Cut burlap about 1 1/2” x 7" and trace an outline of it onto the front of the canvas on an angle
5. Make paper rosettes of varying sizes, using papers and cardstock in similar color scheme
6. Use 1” Glue Lines to securely close the rosettes
7. Attach the rosettes to XL or XXL Glue Dots and sporadically adhere them directly to the heart template
8. Using Mini Glue Dots, fill in gaps using pearl embellishments
9. Adhere sentiment to the burlap using 1" Glue Lines
10. Sew a button on to the burlap using the thread and needle
11. Adhere the burlap to the front of the canvas over the traced area using 1" Glue Lines
12. Using XL Glue Dots, attach a small loop of burlap on the top back of the canvas for hanging

Your heart is now ready to be hung with love or given to a special someone as a Valentine's Day gift.
