Meet Dottess Natalie!
Where do you currently reside (City, State)? Corvallis, Oregon
Who does your family consist of?
Spouse, kids, pets? After only 5 weeks of knowing each other, my husband proposed. I almost said no to the crazy guy! He was definitely on the right track because almost 10 years later we still love being together. We have three silly kiddos: a determined, colorful and artistic girl; a sweet, soccer playing mini-me of my husband; and a baby girl who was born with amazingly long hair and she growls instead of the usual baby noises! We also have a Great Dane/Lab who is still under the impression he is a puppy, even at nine years old!
What are your hobbies?
Besides my kids? I love to craft, scrapbooking, drawing, jewelry making, soap making, cake decorating, and knitting. I would like to learn to crochet, refinish furniture and solder metals… if only there were more time in the day! I love the challenge of recreating something that I fell in love with that happened to be jaw-dropping expensive.
What inspires you?
Other creative and business-minded women who dream up new creations or campaigns while packing the diaper bag for a play date!
Favorite trend of the year?
I really love the re-purposing trend! I hope it continues to grow because turning what would otherwise go into a landfill into tomorrow’s treasures is just plain smart!
Other design teams that you’re on?
Only Glue Dots!
Favorite Glue Dots product?
I am loving the Continuous Glue Lines roll! They are so useful for everything from regular paper crafts to ribbon. I also love the Pop Up Glue Dots for making a 3D effect-they are solid and stick like no other!
Anything else fun, wacky or interesting to share?
My husband and I recently attended a charity event with an 80’s theme. I dug out my husband’s lettermen’s jacket… but the year on it was '94! A little felt and a few Glue Dots and I transformed that ’94 into an ’84!
