Project Title: Cards in a Tin

    Theme:            Handmade cardsHandmade cards using Glue Dots adhesives.

    Description:

These complimentary handmade cards in a tin are great "thinking of you" gifts for your closest friends or maybe a new neighbor. 

Required supplies:

  • 1" Glue Lines
  • Craft Glue Dots
  • Mini Glue Dots
  • White, pink, green cardstock; Hero Arts
  • Orange textured cardstock; Bazzil
  • Pattern paper; The Paper Company
  • Ribbon; Offray
  • Flowers; Prima and Wright's
  • Chip board frame; Maya Road
  • Stamping supplies; Hero Arts
  • Versamark Ink; Hero Arts
  • White embossing powders
  • 1 large pink button and 2 small orange buttons; Buttons Galore
  • Corner punch; EK Success
  • Ghost letters (an "h" and an "i")
  • Glue Stick
  • Tin; recycled from an AOL CD mailing

 

 Happy Birthday Card: 

  • Stamp the numbers in the lower right portion of a pink card with Versa Mark, embossed with white powder. 

  • Stamp the "birthday greeting" with green ink onto white cardstock, trim closely and set aside.

  • Trim pieces of pattern paper (patterned with circles), and adhere to the card just above the numbers using 1" Glue Lines.
  • Block the rest of the card with scraps of green and orange cardstock.

  • Secure the "birthday greeting" onto the orange portion of the card using Glue Lines.

  • Secure the ribbon using Glue Lines and tie ribbon in a knot.

  • Secure the flowers using Craft Glue Dots.

  • Round the corners of the card.

 

 Your a Great Friend Card:

  • Block a card with pattern and color cardstocks and secure a ribbon vertically using Glue Lines.
  • Stamp a greeting with green ink on white cardstock and trim to create a strip.
  • Secure the greeting to the lower portion of the card using Glue Lines.
  • Secure white flower and pink button to the center of the card using Craft Glue Dots.
  • Tie a small bow with green ribbon and attach to the flower with Mini Glue Dots.
  • Tie the orange button with thread and secure it and the flower to the card using Craft Glue Dots.
  • Round the corners of the card. 

 

 Thank You Card:

  • Block a pink card with green and orange cardstocks and striped pattern paper.
  • Stamp "Thank You" with Versamark Ink and emboss with white powder.
  • Adhere ribbon across the entire card just above the striped pattern paper using Glue Lines.
  • Add thread to an orange button and secure the button to a white flower using Craft Glue Dots.
  • Secure the flower and button to the card with a Craft Glue Dots.
  • Round the corners of the card.

 

 Tin Cover:

  • Measure the tin and cut cardstock to fit.
  • Block green, orange cardstocks onto white cardstock, round the corners and secure to the tin using Glue Lines.
  • Cut a strip of the striped pattern paper and secure it vertically using Glue Lines.
  • Cover a chipboard frame with coordinating paper using the glue stick.
  • Stamp a greeting with green ink and adhere to the back of the frame with Craft Glue Dots.
  • Run a ribbon through the openings of the frame and adhere with Glue Lines.
  • Adhere ghost letters and a flower with Craft Glue Dots.
