4th of July Firecracker Box

Create a mini firecracker box for the 4th of July! Use a wooden tea box and Glue Dots to create this festive 4th of July craft!

Supplies

  • Mini Glue Dots®
  • Craft Glue Dots®
  • Pop Up Glue Dots®
  • Wooden tea box
  • Corrugated cardboard
  • White cardstock
  • Creative Imaginations cardstock & diecuts (Super Hero)
  • October Afternoon cardstock & arrow sticker (Boarding Pass)
  • Edge distresser
  • White acrylic paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Pop-Its/Snappers

Instructions

  1. Cut two pieces of corrugated cardboard 1 3/8" x 3 13/16".
  2. Tear off the top layer of cardboard and paint the edges white using acrylic paint. Set aside to dry.
  3. Trim cardstock to fit the wooden tea box: Front and back, 1 7/8" x 3 13/16"; Top, 1 3/8" x 3 13/16" and 1 1/8" x 3 13/16"; Sides, 1 1/2" x 1 15/16".
  4. Distress the edges of the cardstock to expose the white layer.
  5. Create two 2 1/2" white banner strips and fold in half.
  6. Adhere the cardstock and corrugated cardboard to the outside of the wooden box with Craft Glue Dots.
  7. Add embellishments to the wooden tea box with Mini Glue Dots and Pop Up Glue Dots.
  8. Open the box and carefully fill it with Pop-Its or Snappers.
